Maeve didn’t hold back with the panty melting steam and I love how this was fast paced yet the story unfolded perfectly. This is my first read by Maeve and it pulled me in, left me panting and wishing for my own incubus to claim me. I think Maeve has a bright future ahead in the erotic monster arena! I'm hoping Maeve will revisit Aegan and Drew in the future to see how they're doing in their bonded bliss. I would have liked a little more world building but this was a shorter read so I understand the constraint. This was super super steamy with a decent plot and character development. Drew's life depends on it, and Aegan CANNOT lose her. Before he can complete their bond, Drew runs and he must work to get them back together and cement their joining. As soon as he has a taste of Drew, he knows that she is his soul.

I wouldn't say the prequel is completely necessary but it does give a little set up for their story. Incubus Dreams which was their prequel is in the Into The Woods anthology.
